Job Title:
Flying Instructor/Manager
Location:
You will be based at our new school situated at Blackbushe Airport, Surrey.
Position Within The Company:
You will be reporting directly to the two company directors based at the head office in Swindon.
The Role:
You will be responsible for the day to day running of a newly established microlight flying school as well as instructing on either fixed or flex wing microlight aircraft (possibly both if qualified). You will have close support provided by the directors however you will be expected to be able to work autonomously.
Specific Responsibilities To Include:
- -Teaching of (ideally both) fixed and flex wing students to include air experience flights as well as ab-initio
- -Teaching ground school subjects and conducting exams
- -Meeting and greeting customers
- -Basic aircraft maintenance
- -Fuel collection
- -Managing diary for students (not air experience flights)
- -Meeting walk-in enquirers as well as arranged visitors
- -Office duties to include keeping aircraft logs up to date, completion of time sheets, updating student records and taking payments
- -Potential supervision of AFI/ less experienced instructor
Salary:
Salary to be negotiated however you can expect to be paid in excess of industry standard rates. You will also have the opportunity to increase your salary with the teaching of ground school and other peripheral roles.
